Music in the time of COVID-19
Laurel Ponce, a math major, walks down the hallway in the basement of Buckley to retrieve her instrument before class.
The instruments are tucked away in the basement, a seemingly drab place kept alive by the passion of the students.
Ponce's instrument, a shiny and loved brass tuba.
Ponce smiles underneath her mask holding her tuba, which has a cover on it to decrease particle spread due to COVID-19.
Ponce and her seat-mate look over their music for the day.
Wearing a special-made mask that allows her to play while keeping safe, Ponce begins practicing her instrument.
